About the Tahitian Language

Tahitian (Reo Tahiti) is the indigenous language of Tahiti and French Polynesia, with around 70,000 speakers — co-official alongside French in French Polynesia. The US Tahitian-speaking community is essentially non-existent. Translation requests are very rare; most French Polynesian civil documents are in French and routed accordingly.
